| Implementation of Innovative Staffing Model |
New Mexico’s 2025 legislative session passed Senate Bill 201 (SB 201) to repurpose the Public Education Reform Fund (PERF) as a targeted three (3) year investment fund for education initiatives. One of the five initiatives identified in SB 201 is Innovative Staffing Strategies. Additionally, as part of the PERF legislation, a multiyear program evaluation will be conducted by New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED). NMPED is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information from New Mexico School Districts and Charter Schools to partner with NMPED selected vendors to design, support, and coordinate the deployment of an innovative staffing model. This RFI may come with the option to be assigned to a selected vendor by NMPED. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not obligate the Agency to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
